Experience:

Dorothy’s dedication to education and community service is evident in her academic achievements and extensive involvement in nursing science, psychology, and business. As Coordinator of the Women’s Healing Service for Palm Island Community Company, she empowers women in need, while her leadership as Vice President of Kindergarten Headstart reflects her passion for early childhood education.

Her commitment to Indigenous communities shines through her work with the Townsville University Hospital Indigenous Advisory Council and as a founding member and Vice Chair of the First Nations Reference Group for QLD Police Service. Dorothy’s accomplishments also include representing Australia and Indigenous Australia in Oztag, demonstrating her talent and sportsmanship internationally. With experience in the Queensland Police Service, Queensland Health, and Child Safety, Dorothy continues to create meaningful change in her community and beyond.

Dr Katherine (Kathy) Anderson

Qualifications:

PhD, MA,BA (Hons), GradCertBA, GradCertEd

Experience:

Kathy was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2024, having formerly served in the role between 2011-2020.

Kathy has worked in education, government and community sectors, and has spent the past seventeen years in the community controlled sector. She believes the community controlled sector is best placed to deliver flexible and innovative responses to the needs of community.
